The Emerging Brands Summit debuts at McCormick Place, October 23

CHICAGO, IL (September 22, 2022) – The creative minds behind some of today’s most progressive consumer packaged goods will be on stage this fall to share their brand journey. Taking place October 23rd at McCormick Place, the Emerging Brands Summit will feature information and resources to help developing brands grow their manufacturing operations from startup to scale up. Produced by PMMI Media Group, the Summit includes educational sessions, the Emerging Brands Marketplace and scheduled topic-driven meetings. Additionally, winners of the 2022 Emerging Brands Grants, funded by the Emerging Brands Alliance, will be announced.

The program opens with a panel discussion about finding and working with co-manufacturers / co-packagers, followed by sessions that explore commercializing a product and scaling operations; labeling regulations; sustainable packaging; creating a brand experience through product packaging; and the self-manufacturing decision. Presenters include the founder of creative agency Tether (who has been the creative lead to Nike, Lego, and Starbucks), the former COO of So Good Brands, the owner of gluten-free food purveyor Freedom Foods, and the Managing Director of ThePackHub consultancy. A CPG panel discussion with the founders of Petal Sparkling Botanicals, The Functional Chocolate Company, and Simple Mills, caps the day with a discussion of “lessons learned along the way.”

Comments Kim Overstreet, Director of the Emerging Brands Alliance, “We’re grateful to all our presenters and look forward to an outstanding day. We’d also like to acknowledge our Expert Advisors, who will be on hand to provide personalized, one-on-one advice to brand attendees. These industry pros have decades of combined experience working for PepsiCo, Dannon, General Mills, Del Monte, Nestlé and Kraft; they’ll be an incredible resource for attendees.”

Over two dozen companies will be exhibiting in the Emerging Brands Marketplace to promote packaging and processing solutions specifically tailored for emerging brands; contract manufacturing and packaging providers, and material and equipment suppliers will be represented. Event sponsors include Frain Industries, Inc., WestRock, Atlantic Packaging, Domino and Syntegon.
